Workout of the Day
Ten rounds for time of:
3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds
5 Strict Pull-ups
7 Kipping Pull-up
For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs
above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and
continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off
the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set.
Post time and number of sets to completion.
Most of you know that our weightlifting coaches have been away this week while competing at the World University Weightlifting Championships in Taiwan. Jason Bourgeois finished 7th in the 77 kg weight class with a 113 kg snatch and a 138 kg clean & jerk, total of 251 kg. Travis Cooper took 2nd in the 85 kg weight class with a snatch of 137 kg, and a clean & jerk of 180 kg, total 317 kg.
