We had a fun team workout yesterday in the sun. Good times. Which brings up the point that Lauren and I have been doing Crossfit for almost 3 years (we think April 4th 2007) and I cannot express how much I have enjoyed everyone and everything about the experience. Made some good friends, been destroyed by some great workouts, have fluctuated like Oprah (not from Crossfit but from my lovely choice to have numerous cheat days and have a few diet meals during the week – and beer) But I do have to say that when we started, I was hooked from the beginning and have never looked back. Thanks to Mike G and Dan for everything. Good trainers past and present. Right now, I have on a consistent basis, Bethanie, Brandon and Jason to thank for keeping on me about form and hustle, and George for reminding me to take a bath every once and awhile otherwise he is slobbering all over me. And if case you were wondering…my new nemsesis is officially Kurt. Peter, you will be missed and you were close to being named my nemisis. Others may include Fred because he never shows up and Ken because I like to aim high and try not to double his times…or possibly triple his times. Nuff said…Crossfit ATL brings the fun

So what exactly was the WOD? You guys looked miserable! I know it involved the sleds and maybe thrusters…

Alex and I had to get to a 100 total thrusters. We had to alternate, one person had to do thrusters and one had to pull the sled. We didn’t have a rest period like the 5 pm class or pull a sissy sled with only one 45# plate.

Based on my facial expression, I am going to say round one. The newness of running like one of Santa’s reindeer wore off pretty quick. I can tell you by the end of the 12 minutes, that smile was wiped off my face, by Bethanie and Whitney. Thanks to my team, it was a fun workout, good to be outside and enjoying the “not so” fresh air. ( THANKS GEORGE!)

Mike K, thanks for the lunch work out today, and thanks to Tiny Dancer for coming in and kicking all of our butts on it. Not finishing in last place was just the boost I needed (thanks to major stress in my life right now my WODs have been lacking energy lately)
Now that it is springy, I’d like to plan an event at a park that would be maybe a team event running around the park to destinations for team exercises(like an elementary school field day). I am looking for ideas, participants, a date, and certified trainers who would like to help with programming as well as executing the event so that we are safe. I am also thinking that we would need a grill, drinks, and hanging out after the working out. Suggestions and helpers needed.

Hey Mike, sorry I missed the blog yesterday. Although I was a little late on the scene, I’ve always enjoyed coaching you. You always listen and push yourself. In short, you guys kick ass all around. Thank YOU!

It’s true…about halfway through I actually felt a little bad. I never questioned they would finish, but I questioned whether I was a bad person. Good job you guys!!! I wish I could tell you it won’t happen it again, but then I’d just be lying.

hi lover. this isn’t exactly what you’re talking about but it will have to do for now. On Friday April 16th we are going to do a bunch of outdoor team workouts and cook out/drink after…so, plan on doing that!
