i was sore from the row/pushup wod for literally a week. i will say though, even if you’re sore, it would probably serve you well to get in and move around… even though it may seem impossible and/or bring you to tears 🙂 my 2 cents.

one last reminder… my NOT going away party is tomorrow night at Ormsby’s. I plan to be there by 8:30 and staying until they kick us out (or until I can’t stand anymore). anyway, it would be great to hang out with everyone!!! so, if you’re free, come on by – 314.440.0403.

It’s almost Crossfit’s competition season. If you didn’t see the post on HQ from last month explaining how sectionals will work, read it here: http://games.crossfit.com/blog/2011/01/update-2011-games,983/
You should note that the new sectionals open format leaves it open for ANYONE to participate in (assuming you can perform the majority of the workouts RX). Also, if you have thought about being on our team for regionals you are required to participate in these sectionals.
If you are interested in participating please come to our “Team Crossfit Atlanta” informational on Sunday, Jan 30th, at noon (at the gym). We will basically discuss how we are going to approach selecting people for the regionals team but also what it means to be a part of “Team Crossfit Atlanta” (which includes individual participants).
GET EXCITED FOR ANOTHER YEAR OF CF ATL DOMINATION!!

Place your PRE-ORDER for hoodies on the form at the gym. Please don’t put your name down without paying. This sort of defeats the purpose of pre-ordering.

I am very sore — that row/push-up couplet was brutal, then I foolishly decided to make up the muscle-up/wallball/HSPU/power clean WOD last night. I had trouble getting to sleep I was so sore. I may have to use a straw tomorrow night at Leah’s not-going-away party because I won’t be able to lift a glass.

I have a rather benign heart condition that I have to get checked every 2 or 3 years. I went to the dr’s office today, and they asked me if I have any trouble doing things I used to be able to do. I told them that I had noticed some decreased power output. They said “so you have less stamina?” I said no, I have more. They said “so you have less strength, and that’s what you mean by power?” I said, well yes, I have less strength, but no, that’s not what I mean by power. I finally said, I can do less work in more time. They scratched their heads. I am so glad I didn’t try to explain to them that the focus on my stamina has taken away from my strength, which is perhaps one reason why I have less power. But as for my heart, it is just fine. Actually, it’s filled with joy because P isn’t going away. Awwww.

Does the Old English spelling of Elizabeth mean you get to do it without full squat cleans?
