We are laying new floor this weekend, so their will be disruption, but we won't close.  Please enter through the front door, and plan on workouts being outdoors.

    Way to go April (and Andy – who I think also finished his intro class AND got his kipping pull-up yesterday)!!! Excited to have you guys join us in the mornings 🙂
    Sad I’m going to miss all the fun this weekend – cookouts, parties, outdoor workouts, world cup viewings, new floors… man I picked an eventful weekend to go out of town, but I’ll see you all next week!!!

    Our paleo potluck is this Saturday…now at NOON! Bring your favorite paleo dish to share. After that, a group will be watching the US v England at Fado.
    Next Saturday is the Crossfit Dahlonega challenge. Everyone should sign up….there is even a scaled division.
    The evening of the 19th is Marshall’s bday. Please RSVP to Lori by today!.
    The following weekend (the 26th) we are closed for another level 1 certifications but there is another crossfit event on Saturday you can participate in. It is the ICF challenge benefiting the leukemia and lymphoma society. See info here:!/event.php?eid=117475198288957

    Also, there is a handout on the front desk for people who typically take my class. Here is what it says,
    Dear classes,
    I will now be capping my 5pm and 6pm classes at 12 people. This is to assure that you receive the training that you pay for and deserve. I hope that you understand the reasons behind this. I highly recommend that you begin booking an appointment (reserving a spot) for these classes ahead of time so that you are guaranteed a spot in the class of your choice. Remember, if these classes book up there is the 4pm Open Gym, 7pm Crossfit Workout of the Day class, and the 5:30 and 6:30 Lifting Classes. Here I walk you through how to book these classes on Mindbody from your own computer ahead of time:
    -Go to our home page:
    -On the left hand toolbar click “Schedule”
    -Login in the upper right hand corner. IF YOU HAVE NEVER DONE THIS YOU MUST CREATE A LOGIN by selecting “Sign up!”
    -Go down to “Is this your first time?” and fill in your first and last name as entered in the Crossfit Atlanta system (i.e. Betsy is actually in the system as “Claudia”)
    -Follow the prompts to get signed up, create password, etc.
    -After you are signed in, click the “classes” tab (underneath the log in spaces on right)
    -Select “sign in” for the class you wish to sign in for and follow the prompts
    -This should sign you in for that class
    -When you arrive, you still need to swipe your card like you normally do but it will sign you into the class you booked for.
    Feel free to book a whole week of workouts ahead of time if you know your schedule but please remember to cancel if you realize you can’t make it. Thank you for understanding and your patience as we get the gym organized! It truly is a privilege coaching you.

    Did the l-sit, good mornings, sit up, weighted back extension WOD yesterday, and my hamstrings are PISSED. Not as bad as “Stephen” and not has bad as I thought they would be. All that stretching and rolling afterwards really helped, so be sure you guys are spending time doing that after workouts. Not sure what I can do today…maybe row a 2k and 5 rep max for shoulder press. Still haven’t done Fran. Maybe next week? This is getting ridiculous.
