Yeah, this workout looks normal until you get to the last three things. 100 Wall Balls? 200 Double Unders? Yeah, I would be at the gym for two hours before completing this workout.

Did it last Sunday in 33:46, DLs scaled down to 90kg. The wall balls did take me a long time — partitioned them in sets of 10. The DUs went pretty quick. Trying to run, or even walk, with the 45# plate was pretty hard/awkward.

Many of you probably don’t know that my wife is a Type-1 diabetic. She has been a terrific supporter of mine throughout crossfit and Paleo living. We were discussing the upcoming challenge yesterday and she said she was going to do it with me. I was thrilled! We both have obvious concerns regarding managing her blood sugar while on Paleo. Karen (my wife not the 150 wall balls) found a fantastic article written by fellow xfitter, Robb Wolf – http://robbwolf.com/2009/08/05/type-1-diabetes-and-crossfit/
Robb does a fantastic job of breaking down liver function, glucose, insulin, processing carbs and fat, sleep/stress effects on insulin sensitivity, etc. For anyone interested in Paleo living or other, I highly recommend this article.

Hey Guys. Happy Friday! So tomorrow is the day of the Fran-off. Bad news is I’m really sore and I’m going out tonight. Good news is, Chris A. has VERY generously offered a free, hour long massage to the person with the most improved time. Thank you, Chris, and by the way, CONGRATS on that SUB FOUR MINUTE FRAN!!! I am dreading this, but it should be a good time. Let me know if you’re up for it…I’m thinking our group will go at 11. See you then. BRING IT and GET SOME.

I think I just about coughed up a lung today .. and I so wanted to partake in Fran tomorrow – I did it on Tuesday but only with the empty Barbell.. I really want to try it with some weight.. I will be in tomorrow with a NEWBIE for Brandon to train .. so if I am still not coughing like a 70 year old with a two pack a day habit.. I may partake in the FRAN OFF..
( w/scaled pull ups of course)
