Hi everyone! I found one number for the Cabbagetown 5k this weekend, but am interested in finding another, if anyone is selling. Just let me know.

From the Sun-Times article: “Not only do I discourage any diet that disallows entire food groups, but cholesterol levels are directly linked to the ingestion of animal products.”
From the full “Big Fat Fiasco” lecture posted yesterday: “Heart disease [caused by inflamation of the blood vessels] may continue if small dense LDL shows up to repair the damage. What kind of food would produce small dense LDL? … Sugar and refined carbohydrates.” (Part 3 at 12:52)
And I just had a logic aneurysm.

People are morons Leah .. plain and simple .. I deal with it everyday- i get the OHMYGOD you lost so much weight.. how ? and then as soon as I mention paleo and eliminating sugar and gluten ..their heads explode. Nobody wants to listen to why they are fat .. they just want a magic pill to make it go away or get half their stomachs stapled and belted .. CRAZY ! ME-I’d much rather eat BACON!!!

Ha! Given the options, what sane person would actually voluntarily avoid bacon?

I knew someone that couldn’t get gastric bypass surgery becuase they weren’t obese enough, so they ate big macs for a month, were completely sedentary, and then got approved for the surgery. I can’t even BEGIN to share my opinion on this. Too ugly.

The trot is a 5k, right? If so, you are more than ready for that. In a race that short, it’s over before you know it!! The entire time you should tell yourself, “it’s not as bad as Fran, it’s not as bad as Fran.” That’s what I did in my TRIs.
If I can get a pain-free 10 miler in before the 15th, I am going to do the 1/2 marathon on Thanksgiving, I think. Jeff is running it. I ran 8 miles last Sunday and felt great. Maybe I’ll try 10 this weekend.

Oh, and I found another number, so no worries! I’m going for under 25 mins…8 minute miles should be do-able.
