Note to everyone.  In case you haven't noticed, we raised our prices considerably effective Jan. 1.  The increases do not apply to existing members.  Y'all are "grandfathered" into your old rates.  But please do not quote the old rates to your friends.

    Hey everyone!! We are planning the December/January bday celebration for this Friday night at Ormsby’s. Please let me know if you have a Dec/Jan bday or some other close winter bday and want to celebrate this Friday night.

    My first Crossfit ATL picture! Stoked.
    All four of us in the pic did the 30-20-10 Deadlift @ 60%, push-ups, knees-to-elbows. We all finished within a minute of each other. 15 – 16 minutes. Solid Sunday morning.

    This is a fun one; did it last week as rx’ed in 12:04. Opened up with 10 unbroken, games standards muscle-ups, which was good enough to take over the #2 spot at my box in Cincinnati (though it killed my next two rounds.)

    Hey guys!! Hope you all had a great weekend. So, in case you’re wondering who Margie and Amy are, Amy is my best friend, and she calls me Margie. She’s in town from NYC where she practices law with Joe G. He’s been talking up Crossfit, and tonight Amy’s going to try it for the first time with me. Needless to say, Joe and I are VERY excited. I’m also PUMPED to visit Guerrilla Fitness CrossFit Montclair the next time I’m in the City. I can’t wait for Amy to meet all you amazing peeps. I tried to give her the run down this morning during our commute, but I’m afraid she now thinks that Bethanie is dating Mike K., Jonathan is dating his sister, and that we have an artificial life form that works out with us (KEN). See you tonight around 5.

    I have hugged him before and I’m pretty sure I remember him being about the same temp as us, so I think he’s real, but maybe I should trust, but verify??

    some thoughts on double unders. . . if you do not have good single unders, by this i mean, efficient with a fast cadence- at least 150 in a min (ideally 180), then you should be spending most if not all of your jump rope practice time on single unders. the timing developed from efficient single unders will translate to more efficient double unders!

    This morning I learned that I cannot do more than 6 muscle ups before noon. Other than that, I liked this WOD. Leaving tomorrow AM for work, yet again. Maybe see you guys Friday night! Everyone have a good week!

    In celebration of MLK Day this coming Monday some of my friends (yes, I have a few that are not crossfitters)have planned a bowling outing for Sunday, 1/17 starting around 2pm at Funtime Bowl on Buford Hwy. So, if you’d like to get your bowl/drink on in honor of Dr. King, come join us!
    Perhaps our Social Chairs can even make this an official CFATL sanctioned event?!? Just a thought 🙂
