    Amber, New Rule: Stop saying you feel like crap and that you “suck” at pullups when you blow everyone out of the water. It’s not nice. Just kidding, you’re very sweet and cute. I was elated with my 7 MINUTE PR until I saw Amber’s time. Someone wasn’t pushing herself hard enough before and is still resting too much during pullups, and that someone is ME. 19:14 as rx’d.

    if you are planning on coming into the gym, you don’t have to eyeball it because there’s a chalk mark on the floor, but I’m thinking you may be crossfitting with the college kids today.

    Interesting bit about Ryan Kennelly (holder of the World Powerlifting Organization world record assisted bench press with a lift of 1075 lbs)
    It’s off wikipedia, so I don’t know how accurate it is. But, it says that “Kennelly began lifting with his legs only because his bench had plateaued due to a weaker lower body.”
    Or in other words, as Glassman says, the neuroendocrine response from the squat is so powerful that you can be the king of the bench press, and if I get you to squat, your bench will go up. Ryan Kennelly is the king of the bench press and, according to wikipedia, Ryan Kennelly has started to squat.

    It’s all in his skating form on the lunges: hands behind back and slightly lunge side-to-side. I think I’ll try that this evening.
