I’m going to say we are off the left hand side of the graph still in the innovators phase. Glancing at the affiliate finder map on the main site page, it looks like there are about 3100 affiliates world wide with maybe 2200 of those in the U.S. Not everyone works out at an affiliate, but for back-of-the-envelope purposes, if we assume every box has 50 active members and lump the military and garage people in with those, I’m figuring in big round numbers there might be 100,000 crossfitters in the U.S. out of a total population of 310M — 0.03% of the population. If you start adjusting for adults and folks who won’t work out at all, you still get a small percentage. By comparison, the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) has about 80,000 members who are playing competitive tennis in a league. That is just in Atlanta. Or another comparison: in 2005, there were about 70,000 yoga *teachers* in the U.S.

Good job to all our people who attended the level 1 this weekend!! You kicked ass: Way Joe, Mandy, Andy Miller, BTA, Adam, and Scott!!
All: Check out this CF Journal interview with Dan. It is awesome. Feel free to post in the comments section of the video how dan has influenced your life. I know that we would not have our CF ATL family without him.
