I hate pull ups and the way I see it is if I need to pull myself up over a wall 120 times, I will be the most fit criminal cat burglar known to man….Rest day today…. Plus if I did 120 dips my biceps would rip my shirts… :-)

So, now there are two, which really scares the s(#*t out of you if you walk into that dark room and don’t remember what’s down there. Good stuff!

Speaking of things that will scare the sh*t out of a person, the last time I came out of the gym, and roy was walking up the stairs with all his candidates, I nearly t’eed myself. thought I was being taken downtown. for what, I have no idea. but still, scary nonetheless. I am glad I have advanced notice.
dhall, if you had been there this morning, you would have seen me doing 30 jumping muscle ups. it was a real snooze fest since I had to rest 1 or 2 minutes (or more!) between each one; but, it’s done and it was good practice for the real thing, maybe, one day.

8:14 rx. I finally finished this sucker. If I’d been more confident in the beginning that I would finish I would have gone a lot faster. I can’t wait for this to come up again.

Check it yourself. The Tough Guy Challenge just took place in England. It’s shameful an event with such a glorious absence of sophistication took place anywhere outside of the US.

    15:48 jumping muscle ups.
I tried to use a shorter box but when I yanked my elbow around in the second rep, I decided putting a weight plate on the box to increase height would be better for now (mind over action issues).
ONE DAY I will do these as Rx.
Margaret, the do or die method (the phrase used by Julie), I think helped me with the dips on these jumping mu’s. I did this when we had the ring dip/clean workout and took a little over 1 hour because of the dips.

Made up Elizabeth tonight and took my sweet time: 31:28. I did negatives and push ups instead of the last round of dips because my elbow was hurting me. I’m not sure if the ole elbow was hurting from the negatives or the fact that when I was warming up I pulled a Mike G and caught the bar with my elbow against the ground therefore tweaking my wrist back. Yup, I’m an idiot and apparently don’t know how to bail out of cleans.

8:23 with 30# weight vest, which puts me at about 185 – 190 range. I was chasing Ken and couldn’t get him.
Roy, I’ve been wanting to come help out with a workout for your crew for a while now. I think this time I’ll get a chance to do just that. Is it at 8am?

Abysmal time but better than my almost-didn’t-finish last time of 40+ min including the last five having to be jumping muscle ups. I wish I could blame it on Bethanie “diversioning” (her word, not mine) me but that was not the case. Part of it had to do with making the same mistake as last time, which is re-taping my hands too tightly about halfway through when the tape was starting to slip. I hit the wall at 20 mu’s and almost kicked Amy’s water bottle across the gym when I failed like 6 times in a row. The rest was just me getting frustrated and not being able to do the workout. Muscle ups clearly need some work.
Just to clarify this is not me whining or trying to justify my sub-par performance, just airing some frustration.
Great job Rob and Ken and all others.
