For those of you that don’t know, I got arrested on Friday night walking from Steamhouse Lounge to the next bar. I was carrying a beer. Charge was ‘Drinking in Public.’
Anyway, while I was in the pen, I learned some new exercises. Here are some I witnessed:
The Resistance. This is where you refuse to do anything the guards tell you. When they start to drag you to your own special cell, remember to lock knees and clinch your toes. When they let you out in 2 hours, repeat.
The Impossible Sleep. This is where you can literally sleep anywhere and under any circumstance including under the bench that is approximately 2 feet from the toilet. That isn’t really an exercise but impressive nonetheless.
The Smoke Air Squat. This is where you sneak into the bathroom with a cigarette. Squat behind the half wall so the guards don’t see you. Inhale. Hold the smoke in your mouth while you come back up to check for guards. Go back down, exhale. Repeat.
Anyway, I got put into the jail at around 11:30 on Friday night. Jonathan bailed me out around 11:30 am the next day. It was a miserable 12 hours. Lesson learned: Finish your beer.
Oh and the WOD on Saturday SUCKED.

That happened to me in Athens, except I got off with just a $75 ticket. Your story is way cooler, but cool in a sense that it’s cool to hear about. Not so cool to go thru.

Mary for the first time today. 8 rounds. I had to use the rings for balance in the pistols. For some reason my right knee was KILLING me after the second round of pistols. Is this because I’m torquing something with bad form?

    Maybe. Was your form bad?

No, you did not mention this.

Likely so. My pistol form is this:
    Stick out a leg.
    Bend opposite knee.
Somehow I doubt that’s textbook perfect.

    Enjoy –
I wanted to give ya’ll some disturbing information on our wonderful president. I work with the Catch-A-Dream Foundation (www.catchadream.org) which provides hunting and fishing trips to children with life-threatening illnesses. It is a great program needless to say.
This past weekend we had our annual banquet/fundraiser event in Starkville . As part of the program, we had scheduled Sgt. 1st Class Greg Stube, a highly decorated U.S. Army Green Beret and inspirational speaker who was severely injured while deployed overseas and didn’t have much of a chance for survival. Greg is stationed at Ft. Bragg and received permission from his commanding officer to come speak at our function.
Everything was on go until Obama made a policy that NO U.S. SERVICEMAN CAN SPEAK AT ANY FAITH-BASED PUBLIC EVENTS ANYMORE. Needless to say, Greg had to cancel his speaking event with us. Didn’t know if anyone else was aware of this new policy. Wonder what kind of news we all will receive next?

    Cindy as Rx: 13 rounds
Not a PR, but immediately after lifting I did make one:
1 – PR for number of little sisters that as of today don’t need open-heart surgery. All smiles on my end.

Ran 3 miles today in 24:58. It was my first timed run in fivefingers. I’m pretty psyched about the time.

Cindy Rx 14 rounds even. No PR, going too slow on the push-ups.
Jeff — good deal on your sister, and grats on making the main site pic the other day.

Cindy 10 rounds. 1.5 rounds below my last Cindy. the last set of push ups was pretty dangerous because my sweaty hands kept slipping on the floor that was equally covered in my sweat and it was impossible to be stable slipping in all of the sweat. YUM!
