    Made it to 10.554 by trying it about 10 times after working hours. I’ll have to try it again while I’m actually at my government job. Unfortunately, my days are generally spent figuring out the opportune time to bring paperwork to the executive officer of my ship to sign. So rewarding. Today was my first day back at work after spending 5 glorious weeks in the U.S… can you tell I’m thrilled?

    I registered for the regional qualifiers, and I wanted to know who else was going from our gym so that I can start planning on the arrangements for getting down there and such.

    Laura and I went to the gym with mom and dad yesterday. No pull up bar so we did Helen with 15 burpees instead of pull ups. (It was kind of an arbitrary pick but i figured it was good since it incorporates both a squat and a push up-though neither are pulling motions). Gave dad his first dose of crossfit. I was a little worried at first but he’s up and at um this morn. He said he didn’t know his heart rate could get going that fast.
    Laura was supposed to head back to Atl last night but of course her flight was canceled. To celebrate we are going to CrossFit Toronto and then to the spa for some massages with mom. Yup, you’re jealous.

    I had a PR today on the test, 9.41 seconds. One time…
    The snow made for a great day off yesterday. Went to IHOP and had a Country Omelette with 3 pancakes and butter…Then went home and watched movies all day with Sugar and drank red wine from 1 till 8…We snaked on chips and sausage…Had a big pot of chilly too…Topped off the night with 3 bite sized coconut chocolate cookies… I am glad it only snows once a year…

    Can’t believe I got the 100. It got ugly but I felt like I was close to completing it and then I did. I also put the bar down rather than dropping it. Next time my goal is to have no ugliness.

    kba the look on your face was priceless. Ugliness=power. And for those of you who might be thinking we are calling each other ugly, we are not. But the look on her face when she lifted 100….was ugly!! I got ugly on 95 and didn’t even get it. I PR’d tonight at 90 so I was excited about that. Thanks kba and Marie for motivating me and reminding me not to butt up.

    You got the 95kg up a foot, which is the hardest part (getting the DL started), you will definitely get it next time.

    DL today:
    120/130/140/150/160 (previous pr)/165/170 kg
    Very pleased with that, one of my long term goals is a 400 lb deadlift and i’m only 26 pounds away now. Much thanks to Ian and Mike for the form correction, it helped significantly, even though it still got ugly for the two pr lifts.
    I’m on the road for the rest of the week, so I will be seeing you folks again this sat morning!

    congrats KBA. I got the 100 yesterday too. I should have posted it earlier in the day so that you would have gone for 101 and still had a higher DL than me! 😉 You are so damn strong…I’m like twice your size!! good work!
