Margaret, if you still don’t know, Dan is the consigliere to Greg Glassman.
Say Dan, is the current success a common thing for GT Rugby? Have you implemented crossfit into their conditioning? Anything to brag about since the implementation?

Ugh. I am dreading today’s workout so much, I couldn’t drag myself out of bed this morning to hit the gym. Amber, that’s a sick time, I will be happy if I make it in under 15 minutes. Makes me want to punch the wall to do wallballs. I would rather do 150 burpees. For all this whining, I should be forced to do 150 burpees in addition to the WOD. See y’all tonight.

So, no takers on the The CrossFit Dirty South regional qualifiers???
just in case anyone missed it, below are the details..
It’s being held on April 25th and 26th in Jacksonville, FL. If you are not competing in the individual events you can still represent CrossFit Atlanta on our affiliate team at the Dirty South Regionals! They are coming up quick, we need to know who’s interesting in participating so we can start signing up. We’d like to get a Team RX (2 men and 2 women) and then we can have as many Open Teams of 4 as we’d like, the Open Team are not RX and can be any combination of men and women. The registration fee is $30 per person.

well then c’mon boys! Step up! 🙂
I’d like to get a group signed up soon so we can go ahead and register.
If not, I’ll sign up to volunteer, but I would really love to have at least ONE team from CFATL representing…
I mean, if we don’t have that, that’s just sad…

soooo these “open” teams that are not RX…this could be a fit for those of who are NOT elite ?? Chris and I are sorta interested. We’re both a little hesitant since we still have so much to learn in form and whatnot but the interest is there…

Arthur, you are correct, the OPEN teams are for anyone to participate. Click the link and it will describe it better.
I was really hoping to have one TEAM RX and one TEAM OPEN…
Register fee goes up after Wed..not much, but still goes up..

Arthur, great to see you on here. What is funny is that last night Laura mentioned that we needed boys and I said “you should ask Chris and Arthur!” So, you and Chris are definitely doing it…you don’t have a choice.
CrossFit Peachtree is sending FIVE open teams…we are a much larger gym and should have just as many if not more teams.
Also, the open teams only compete on Sunday so you guys and go out and party on Friday night in Jacksonville…I think it will be very fun for everyone.

Crossfit GSU met for the second time today. The first time one person showed up. Today I DOUBLED THAT! Although, after the WOD I made up, it’ll likely be back down to 1 person on Wed.
    For time:
    21-15-9
    Dumbbell thruster: 45#
    Push Ups
I would love to do pull ups at the GSU gym, but there is not enough room. Giant ass gym has 400 machines, two areas for pull ups.

    Everyone mark your calendars!
I am going to celebrate my TWENTY-FIRST (aka 21st) birthday on the night of Friday, April 17th. No excuses (even the qualifiers- a week is plenty of time to sober up). This will probably be the last birthday I will every truly care about so I better see everyone there! More details on time and place later (I am open to ideas). Let me know if there is any huge crazy conflicts with people’s schedule.

Marie, if I may make a suggestion, is it possible to have it at a place that doesn’t charge $8.00 per beer? Some of us can only afford BYOB parties. Just a thought – please consider the poor amongst you.

Made up Lynne from yesterday because I’d rather be punched in the face repeatedly by Roy for fifteen minutes straight than do Karen.
Lynne, as prescribed (at 150 lbs bodyweight)

    Round 2: 7-26
    Round 3: 7-30

Definitely surprised myself today. I was expecting it to be brutal after being off for about 10 days but I felt really good. All the little aches and pains I left with are gone. I feel great! (I won’t be able to walk tomorrow)

Arthur, so funny Bethanie and I were talking a couple of weeks ago that you and Chris need to start participating on the blog, and we mentioned you two for the team challenge. Elizabeth, are you still in for the team challenge?
BTW- please all paint ballers get your waivers and $30 in as soon as possible for people playing paintball. I need to send them in to Nitro in just a few days and we don’t have the minimum of players signed up, yet. Waivers can be given to me at the gym, to Bethanie at the gym, Rugby players can give them to Mike or email if you need to mail or deliver it to me: [email protected] put something obvious in the subject line. Please do not put anything in the subject line about enlarging any part of a body. . .I get plenty of emails with those subject lines and I don’t have that body part.
I did Karen with Momo today. There was only 1 14 pound wall ball, so Momo made me use a 15 pounder. 12:55. I think I love wall balls, and I know I will be sore tomorrow.

Last time I did this, I think I took 20 or 22 minutes.
David I don’t know.. as much as I hate wall balls, I think I would take the wall balls over being punched in the face.

I don’t know KBA, Roy is a pretty kind guy. How bad can it be?

  • kba_cfatl

I am sure Roy is kind. But I think even if he was not trying, he could still do damage unintentionally. So I would prefer the wall ball WOD, unless his knuckles are padded A LOT.
