Yak's Snatch.  Look ma', no shoes!

Workout of the Day

Five rounds for time of:
95 pound Snatch, 3 reps
95 pound Overhead squat, 15 reps
Run 400 meters

Congratulations to Marie and Bethanie who passed their exam Level 2 CrossFit Trainer exams yesterday!  This brings our total to five L2 trainers, more than any other Atlanta gym, and preserves our 100% pass rate on an exam which has a worldwide pass rate of about 50%.

We will be closed this weekend in order to host the CrossFit Endurance Seminar.

Congrats. I am going to have to take full credit for this though, since you got extra practice critiquing my terrible form all summer.

    Great job ladies!
On a different note, can anybody explain the significance of adding 3 snatches to each round of what is otherwise Nancy? Is it just trying to help people speed up their Nancy times a little by getting used to snatching instead of C&J?

Thanks so much to all our awesome clients and CF ATL community for all the support! A special thanks to Mike for putting Bethanie and I through practice classes- it helped SO much with becoming familiar with the format and getting better as trainers. Also thanks to everyone who came out to the practice session and allowed Bethanie and myself to nitpick at your form.

17:15 Rx’d weight with squat snatches. Still have a long way to go with my back, but pretty happy with this one still

I was looking for times on the main site to see how people did and I found this:
    “almost as rx’d – I bailed after 3 rounds
    10:01”
Ya, 3 of the total 5 rounds is “almost Rx”. If that is the case I almost have an olympic level mile time – nevermind that last lap.

Hysterical! In my world, 60% of the workout is not passing for Rx.

We should investigate the difference between the running routes some time.

    as Rx 65# squat

I ran in all the rounds, except last round there was a SHORT distance I had to walk due to feeling soreness in my back. so my running is still slow but hopefully improving.
on a positive note, 3 rounds OHS were unbroken. one was 14 + 1 and one 10 +5
