CrossFit ATL 4238Strange things this weekend.  UGA beat GT, and the animal above was spotted in the Georgia woods in Jackson County.

Workout of the Day

We have made changes to the schedule: to the hours of operation, and to the way we will run classes.  Full details of the new schedule and class times is online with MBO at the Schedule link in the upper left.  Highlights are: classes now last one hour and start on the hour; specialized Olympic lifting/Strength Bias classes are available morning and evening; we have cut one hour from weekday mornings and added a lunch time session, and we have cut an hour each day on the weekend.  For those who like to lay in bed weekday mornings, the most important change is that we close at 10 AM instead of 11 AM, but you can be even lazier and come in at noon.

Yesterday I did the workout from 7/7/09:
    21-18-15-12-9-6-3
    185# front squats
    GHD sit ups
    24:55 Rx
I think I will be subbing press for front squats today, as my lower body is destroyed.

It is important to note that the one hour classes in the evening include a group warm-up! Also, the 4-5pm hour is still open gym.

Question on the oly lifting/CF strength bias classes: is this going to be programmed daily, as in something we could follow as an alternative to the crossfit.com mainsite? Or is it more focused on technique?

The o-lift/SB class will work on your o-lift and power lifts. Whether you go heavy or not all depends on your skill level. Either way, you will concentrate on technique because that will make you stronger (productive application of force). These classes will end with a short/explosive metcon.

Ken, I didn’t realize Tiger Woods was your judge during that event down in Orlando! he does keep a home there, so it makes sense I guess. I hope you were able to get some short game pointers

that really is a very respectable time dude. next to G and the old guy it might not look as impressive, but I think I would be really hard pressed to even do that wod as rx. so nice work!
