Dumbbell hang squat clean thruster, 10 reps (45#/35#)
400 meters run

    Good morning all. Tonight we will be celebrating Jason Outlaw’s 28th birthday by having dinner and drinks at Vortex in midtown at 8pm and then heading to Flip Flops for some dancing and more drinking. All are welcome and tomorrow is a rest day so you don’t really have a good excuse not to be there.

    Did Frianebeth with Rob and Queen today, and it is actually a pretty enjoyable workout.
    My time was 9:32 i think, someone please correct me if I’m off by a few seconds. Either way it’s a PR by a minute and a half, although I finished dead last to the other two.
    I am pumped about tonight by the way.

    Like Jonathan said, did Frianebeth. As Rx’d: 7:32 with chest-to-bar (we all did). Jonathan, I’m pretty sure I had the 32 seconds, so not sure if you did as well. Dropped about 40 seconds from the last time I did it, and I’m not sure that I did chest-to-bar the last time.

    Greetings from mexico. Been nice and sunny out here, but I am still white as a ghost. That is what water babies 50 block will do for you. WODs for the past few days:
    3 rounds
    100 pushups
    3 min rest
    about 9 min (without rest of course)
    50-40-30-20-10
    Double unders
    25-20-15-10-5
    55 lb DB swing (hold DB by the end)
    (alternated between the two like Annie)

    50-40-30-20-10
    Pushup, abmat situp (no anchor)

    filthy fifty
    subbed single 40 lb DB thruster for wall ball, 45 deg incline situps for knees to elbows, 25# Dumbells for 45# bar push press, and 40# DB swing for 1 pood KB swing. All else as RxD.

    Typical. I am proud of my 5k time until Ken posts his. Mine was 25:09, and I was very happy with that. Ran a 5k in January and my time was 26:36 because my knee started hurting. It felt good today, and as you might guess, I attribute that to a reduction in systemic inflammation due to the change in my DIET. I am debating about tonight…I know I can’t convince my husband to go out, so I am thinking about a solo venture…

    Oh, and yes, I looked like a complete loser doing shitless burpees in the shitty fitness center here on the resort. Pretty sure I will have to get a tetnus shot also, the fitness center has not been used in about a decade.

    Margaret – thats a great time! Mine was on a treadmill – much easier than in the open air!! I am glad you ran the 5k though – most people tend to avoid it, so kudos to you!

    Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be because you’re constantly doing different things.
    Saw Watchmen last night. I liked it a lot, but I’m not sure it’d be for everyone. There’s lots of sex, nudity, violence and awesomeness in it.

    If anyone is driving there tonight, let me know. I live about a mile away from the Vortex so I don’t really want to drive and deal with parking, call a cab for a mile ride, or walk through midtown all dressed up at night.

    To keep drunk people off the road…Laura and I always have open space for people to crash. There are a few people coming over before 8 to cab it with us there and then will crash here too. It’s also fun because we tend to get “drunk munchies” post-bar and make some good-ass food.

    Oh, and the god-father told me today that we can go over to the Lovett track with Mahoney one day and do some running drills. I am curious about how fast I can run one mile, and I’m also curious about my 5k time on a track, where’s it’s level and you don’t have to turn around.

    First time ever doing a 5k for time. 26:22. I’m a slacker and had to walk the third (out of four)hill that was 19min into my run. I walked for 1 min. I cursed Momo and Mike G the whole last half mile. Momo because I knew that I had to keep running hard to beat her and Mike because he told me I “should do the run”.
    Has anyone ever ran so hard that when they finished they started peeing and couldn’t stop it? Not that I did that but if I did would that be abnormal?
    My quads were already killing from yesterday and now I’m walking like I have a stick up my ass.
    Okay, that should be enough to stop the blog for a while.

    What a fantastic day to get outside for a run! Bethanie and I did the 5K together, and by together I mean we started together and she finished about 10 minutes ahead of me and stood there waiting for me.

    Had an awesome time last night, I’m already excited about the next time we go out like that. That might change once I get the massive hangover that’s looming in the distance right now, but for now I’m pretty damn excited. Also I’m still looking for any shreds of my dignity that I might have left somewhere last night, if anyone knows anything about that.

    Ran 3.6 mi yesterday and 4.8 mi today… with this beautiful weather, I couldn’t bring myself to work out inside at the gym.
