CrossFit ATL 4235 The man formerly known as "Big Mike"

Workout of the Day

"Linda"

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps of the triplet:

Deadlift: 1 1/2 body weight
Bench press: body weight
Clean: 3/4 body weight

Set up three bars and storm through for time.

Our hours today are 9-11 AM, with touch
football starting at 11 AM at Tanyard Creek Park off Collier Rd. 
Sunday 10 AM to 1 PM

Next week, starting Monday, we will have new
hours in the mornings, 6-10 AM instead of 6-11 AM.  We will also be
open, for the first time, during the lunch hour, from 12-1 PM.  Olympic
Lifting & Strength Bias CrossFit will also be offered mornings and
evenings 4 days a week.

    Embarrassed to admit I actually did this wod, but:
    Yesterday
    400 m lunge on the beach
    10:30 (jodi would be proud)
    Today
    100 2 pood KB swings with 5 burpees every minute on the minute
    on the beach
    6:20
    The beach made my footing on the swings really unstable and the burpees were a a real crimp.
    First two wods since the challenge. My body has finally recovered…

    And started with the 5 burpees at the very beginning, then the second set at minute 1, etc..if anyone wants to try the wod. With stable footing and more push, sub 5 is possible.

    Thursday – Turkey Trot 10k in Virginia Beach: 1:07:17. I can finally say from experience that running a 10k, at least to me, is a complete waste of time and I’ll never do it again.
    Today – 45 DUs, 45 Cleans at 135lbs, 45 ring dips, 45 DUs at CrossFit757: 24:13 Rx . Cleans took a bit but the DUs and ring dips were on point.

    Linda minus squat cleans.
    75kg DL was RX
    38kg BP -12kg from RX
    dropped down to 30kg from 4 reps on down.
    32:20
    I might have been able to add in squat cleans, but I knew BP would slow me down, and I wanted to focus on that weakness
    a few minute PR from Last time Linda minus DL w/37kg BP
    forgot the squat clean weight but it was about 2kg over RX

    Thanks for the kick in the ass in flag football today. It was pointed out to me that everyone did the customary handshake line at the end of the game, in which i did not notice participate in. I just wanted to say thanks for coming out and it was a good game on your part. I had a lot of fun despite the lopsided score.
    Crazy catch by Mike G on a bomb of a pass, that was the beginning of the end for us. I want a little more time to get a team together and a rematch sometime soon. Be easy.
