    Did the “13.1” half marathon this morning, or rather did-not-finish the 13.1. Had an issue with left knee, same thing that happened two weekends ago at the Mountaintop half marathon trail race. Tried to run through it, tried to stop and stretch it out, tried to think pure POSE thoughts, but decided to drop out after mile six when I couldn’t maintain a normal gait (was favoring left leg).
    My main conclusion from the last couple of races: one day a week of running plus 3-on/1-off crossfit works for 5K and 10K distances, but for anything longer, I’ve got to put in more miles. My evidence is a very slow half marathon two weeks ago (as compared to past years), then a PR last weekend in a 10K by a minute, then today’s DNF.
    Came in and did today’s WOD Rx in a glacially slow 34:48.

    Marie, I think your 8:26 is what pushed me! great job today! 9:27 for me. potential new shirt slogan. . CFATL-get used to getting beat by our girls! I think when we both let out a lion’s roar somewhere around the round of 12 (probably 9 for you), you took it up another gear! you are an impressive athlete.
