Did 55K Sq Clean this morning. 5k PR, but totally had 60 if I figure out to get underneath the bar quicker! :(

14 rounds for me today. Not stellar, but 1 round better than 12 days ago.

Sorry for the delayed post, but I just wanna say I’m very proud of all my 7:00ers from last night. Unless I’m terribly mistaken, everyone got a new PR, and some people who had never really cleaned heavy now have a benchmark. Those people make me very glad I found CrossFit!
I’ve noticed a lot of people complain that they cannot make that last clean because they cannot “get underneath the bar quicker,” which is a common fault for most CrossFitters. It has to do with fibers firing, but that “lecture” is for another day:). I have learned a lot from Coach B and Coach Stockel over the past 2 months from traveling with them, and I would love to share information with anyone interested in learning to be faster under the bar, which involves drills, skill work, and such. For now, I’m in the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 pm until close. It’s difficult for me to get the old class format going from me being out-of-town so much, but be patient with me.

I had the same problem even though I did PR. I can make next Tuesday.

No, Saturday stuff is suspended until further notice. I’m booked every weekend until early summer.

    Terry congrats, that is great.
    Chandler thanks for the help.
If there is any group of people that need help turning their brains off when it comes to the lifts, let me know and I will join that session.

Chandler: I am thrilled that you are back to coaching. I have seen first hand how the athletes under your care have improved by working on their olympic lifting skills (Amber and Bethany, among others) and as a person who is fast but not particularly strong, I am looking forward to challenging myself in new ways. See you soon.

Matthew and eveyone else thanks for the cuddos. It helps that we have some many good folks to work out with. It doesn’t make the workouts easier but it certainly helps the process.

Margaret, thank you and your boots. I am so suprised that Buddy Lee doesn’t have a pair of those boots for his jump rope routine. lol

I can’t think of many things that would make my double-unders more frustrating, but wearing either pair of those boots would do it…now I feel like I need to bring my A game when I see you. Next are the turquoise, snakeskin cowboy boots. Might have to wait for my birthday, and the impending mechanical bull riding competition, to pull out those bad boys.

How was that workout? Should I do a pull up ladder or PU/DL ladder on Friday? I’m more interested in the harder of the two.

20 rounds + 10 today. Could have probably gotten more, but my hands currently look like slaughterhouse scraps, so I was sort of forced to stop.

wall ball ladder 17 rounds plus 8 or 10, I can’t remember because I was a little out of breath and counting wasn’t top of mind.
Who is in for Paintball? If you don’t mind inflicting pain on yourself then paintball is for you. Let me know if you are interested and I’ll see how many peeps we have and then we can invite other gyms etc as space allows. I’m thinking late March or April. Any thoughts?

They are both hard. I would go for the DL/pull up. It is something a little different.

I think it’s safe to say that there’s not enough time in the day or breath in the air to list all of the accomplishments of the extraordinary athletes at our gym. Doesn’t her Fran time up on the board speak for itself?? Luckily, success is not finite, and we can all keep striving. But yes, I was talking about some more recent improvements I have noticed, and wanted to generously attribute it to Chandler’s help.
