NOTICE

We are closed this weekend in order to host a CrossFit Level 1 certification.  Please visit one of the friendly nearby CrossFit gyms, or go for a run at West Palisades.

New Harvard study shows barefoot runners land differently and with much less impact forces than runners with cushioned shoes.  Daniel E. Lieberman, the co-author of the study and a professor of human evolutionary biology at Harvard University said, "People who don`t wear shoes when they run have an astonishingly different strike.
By landing on the middle or front of the foot, barefoot runners have
almost no impact collision, much less than most shod runners generate
when they heel-strike."  In response, we say, "Duh.  How about we get a grant to do a study that gives a scientific imprimatur to the blatantly obvious."

That’s a lot of weight. Amazing. When I grow up I want to be like Mike.
I suppose youtube comments will follow that this is nothing, that crossfit doesn’t make you strong, that you had a strength background before coming to crossfit. Oh wait…

Hi guys! I just got some new furniture for my living room and am trying to sell my old stuff (which is only about a year old)… anyway, thought I’d post links to craigslist for it just in case anyone (or anyone’s friends) might be interested. There may even be a CFATL discount for ya 🙂

Three things: 1) I want to be like Mike
    2) I apologize to everyone who posts on beyond the whiteboard. You may have noticed a constant stream of posts from me over the last week or so. This is due in part to my laziness over the past few months when it comes to posting my workouts. So I had to do them all at once. Won’t happen again.
    3) I am SO EXCITED about sectionals that I cannot contain it, and I hope everyone else is too! We are going to have a really strong showing and are going to show the rest of Ga what CrossFit in Atlanta is all about.
