New Harvard study shows barefoot runners land differently and with much less impact forces than runners with cushioned shoes. Daniel E. Lieberman, the co-author of the study and a professor of human evolutionary biology at Harvard University said, "People who don`t wear shoes when they run have an astonishingly different strike.
By landing on the middle or front of the foot, barefoot runners have
almost no impact collision, much less than most shod runners generate
when they heel-strike." In response, we say, "Duh. How about we get a grant to do a study that gives a scientific imprimatur to the blatantly obvious."
