Brent wins the bet and gets a muscle-up before Bethanie.  Must be coaching.

Workout of the Day

Make Up Day: Make up a missed workout.  Make up your own workout.  Or try this one:

Overhead Squat
3-3-3-3-3-3-3

The Rest Day discusssion piece at CrossFit HQ is "Big Fat Lies" a lecture by Gary Taubes, in which he says he intends to change every aspect of your paradigm about what makes you fat.  It's an hour long, but maybe easier than reading his book, Good Calories, Bad Calories.

Well done Brent! Way to make it look like you’ve been doing it for years, and then not showing any emotion whatsoever.
Who else is going to the challenge on Saturday? I’m going to the 9-11 session.

    Good Work, Brent!
Did Michael yesterday, and was 2 minutes slower than last time. This seems to be a theme this week that I am losing ground on my times.

Peter, your feet must be way tougher than mine. Ran only 2/3 of the 5k last night in my FiveFingers before my feet erupted in pain. They are now covered in blood blisters. Thank god for the rest today.

I am going to sign up for the 11am Saturday workout. After that, I plan on drinking multiple bloody marys at the pool.
Let’s try to get a good showing at this competition. Who else is planning on going?

Bethanie, time to reconsider your daily diet of handfuls of smashed up turkey and alcohol.

Jeff, what kind of running had you done in them prior to that? It takes a while to get your feet adjusted.

I’ve been using them exclusively (warm ups, workouts, everything) for about 3 weeks. I figured it’s supposed to take longer. I usually run in very thin-soled shoes (basically track spikes) though, so I thought, “What the hell.” Guess I didn’t wait long enough. Oh well.
