Workout of the Day

Four rounds, each for time of:

800 meter run

Rest as needed between efforts.

Post times for each round to comments.

    Just finished my first early morning Crossfit work out, I am totally jazzed – I feel a 3pm crash coming on… I can’t believe we lucked out with a break in the rain because it was monsooning on my way in to the office.
    R1 = 4:30
    R2 = 5:01
    R3 = 5:06
    R4 = 4:47

    Thankfully I beat the rain this morning…as did the 6am and 7am crowd. Good job to all of you today!
    Best time was 3:27. I was more worried about slipping on the pavement than anything else. Be careful out there! 🙂

    R1: 3:30, R2: 3:35, R3: 3:43, R3: 3:37, for a total of 14:25. I love this workout, of course, and was so glad to get it in before the rain began…but, I was bound and determined to do it even if it did rain, so don’t wimp out on me, night people.
    Finished up today with some front squats.
    40, 42.5, 44 (1 and then fail), 44 (2 and then fail), and then finally, 44 all three. Many thanks to Heidi and Brent for pushing me. Elbows up.

    Good job Lindsay! Good to have you as part of the morning crowd. Re the 3pm crash, I am very familiar with it and coffee is a MUST.

    If you run POSE, you shouldn’t slip, because you never push off in POSE – you only fall.

    Vas, I did not know you had the runs. Sometimes I just simply wait them out sitting on the toilet with a crossword or two. Other times I wear depends and sit on the couch. There are some over the counter medicines you can take too.

    Right, while running in a straight line on a flat surface. But going downhill, around a turn, on loose gravel while exhausted makes things a bit more interesting.

    My friend Drew Slone who works with me and also works out at B2B is rennovating a condo and is willing to donate the old microwave free of charge. Thanks to Drew Slone! What a great name, right? Also, she finds me entertaining and that’s why she reads this blog, so you can also thank me for my jokes. And, all she wants in return in some time with Chandler to work on her cleans. I am sure that can be arranged, but we should also thank Chandler, I suppose.

    Thanks, Erin, and thanks for keeping us posted on the status of the baby’s arrival. Did you put some hot red pepper flakes on your eggplant parm? I don’t know what it’s like to be in labor, but I bet if you think of the worst crossfit workout you have ever done and the pain you experienced during said workout, it will make you feel better!!

    Thanks all of the paintball players who got all of the forms and money in! We have made the minimum of players and are good to go (Queen you better get your form to me tomorrow)! If anyone wants to join at the last minute there may be spots open if Nitro has spare equipment AND you get on your knees and beg forgiveness for not signing up initially.
    Wow, after 7 months I make the pic of the day twice in one week!
    Did front squats yesterday, wanted to beat Bethanie, but did not. We both had PR. I got up to 60K and did one at 65K failed on the 2nd rep.

    Today I did the following:
    21-18-15-12-9-6-3
    2 pd kb swings
    wall ball sit ups, 20#
    8:45
    As predicted by Bethanie, my shoulders were totally fried for the sit ups of the 12, 15, and 18 rounds. Pretty decent workout though, definitely not like anything I’d ever done before.
    Also, still going strong on the Paleo changeover. I do very strongly miss cheese however.
