    Dr. Barry Sears (creator of Zone diet) is refrenced a lot on that calorie restriction website.

    But they are quick to point out that they think that Sears has no scientific basis for what he believes. And they also recommend a high carbohydrate, low fat and low protein diet. Sounds like a great idea!
    Calorie restriction is a good idea; excessive calories can cause problems, but some of the things on that website are absurd.

    You people are really trying to tempt me with Michael, my fave, aren’t you? My ass is too sore for that business today, so I’m taking my rest day, thank you very much.
    NOTE REGARDING FRIDAY NIGHT:
    Please let me know if you plan to ride with us in the van, as we are going to rent it, but need to make sure it’s big enough for everyone. We will be leaving the gym around 6:30, as traffic could be bad on 75 on a Friday. We will have a cooler with beer and maybe some wine. Please reply to this email to let me know for certain that you will be riding in the van, so I can have an accurate head count…these are the folks that I know for certain so far:

    Last level II practice for Marie and I, this Sunday at 11am at CrossFit Atlanta.
    We will be teaching between 4-6 foundational movements. It should be a beneficial review for anyone and everyone. Please email me at bethanie.harsh@gmail.com to let me know if you plan on coming. We should be done by noon.

    Congrats D.
    As today is a rest day, my 5:45 group will work on weighted squatting technique. Beginners will work on the Back squat, and more advanced athletes will work on the front squat or overhead squat.
    If you are interested in that, we will start at 5:30 with technique work using the dowel followed by 5 sets of 3 of whichever squat you’ve been working on.

    Take advantage of this chance to work the back squat with Jason. Too many people are combining low bar technique with the high bar position…not a good thing!

    If anyone is going to the fight tomorrow, please send me an e-mail at chandler@crossfitatlanta.com. The fight is at 8:00 pm, so in order to give time for traffic, we are going to leave around 6:30. So, get to CFATL around 6:15.

    Yo. Have not seen a lot of you in a long time. Seeing as how I will be at the fights in an offical capacity you need this heads up. First traffic will be an absolute bear. Leave early! Second the parking at the fight is a best a cluster fock… The line to park will be around the corner. The line to get in will be a total screw up too. So expect to wait. The fights never ever start on time so be ready for that too. See you all later.

    D – congrats!
    Also Bethanie asked me to post for her since her internet is down. She wants everyone to know that she is the “captain” of the “elite” girls at crossfit. If you want to be in her “club” you have to earn your way in by performance. She said she is pretty sure you cannot beat her, but you might get lucky and beat one of her “minions” to grab a spot.
    Just relaying the message.

    To everyone at CFATL, I’m officially back from Japan for good and am going to be stationed in Charleston, SC, for the next year if all goes well. I’ll be thousands of miles closer so I hope to pay a visit at some point!
