CrossFit Atlanta 2048
GT Rugby players get ready for Auburn this weekend.

Workout of the Day

Make Up Day.  Make up a missed workout.  Make up your own workout.  Or try this:

Weighted Pull-up
3-3-3-3-3

The Rest Day discussion topic at HQ is the plethora of injuries, aches, and pains caused by playing Wii games

Did Barbara yesterday RX just under 41 minutes…. about 4 minutes slower than last time. I’m just happy i got to do a prescribed workout.

On the Wii games article, me owning your sorry ass so bad your momma feels it, doesn’t count as an injury.

Attempted to do a Crossfit Total this morning, but was way too sore to do well. Did manage a PR on deadlifts at 150kg though. Other than that, it was miserable.
On an unrelated note, the GT swim team will be having it’s final duel meet (and senior night) of the season this Saturday. If anyone one is interested, you can come watch some of the swimmers who stopped in at Crossfit over the summer. The meet will be at the CRC on Tech campus, at 12pm Saturday.

Soreness is manageable today. Should feel good by tomorrow. Just moved about 100, 20 lb boxes from my office into the hallway to go to the new firm, where I will be starting this afternoon. It was a little bit like a crossfit workout. And the band plays on….

I have returned from Virginia, bringing only sickness with me, however….. the moment you have all been waiting for has arrived (haha jk). To mark the start of my 9th month of pregnancy, Derek and I will be dueling it out with Jackie (video taped of course) on Saturday morning. He will be wearing a 20lb vest, and I get to do assisted pull-ups. Hopefully I will beat him, or at least he will have some-what of a clue on how hard it has been to carry around a baby for this long.. whatever the case, I’m excited. :)

Pulled this one out of the hopper deck today:
    10 power cleans, 135#
    200 m run
    9 power cleans
    200 m run
And so on down to 1 power clean and the final 200 m run
    Rx 13:38
I love workouts that play to two of my biggest strengths.

Erin, good job today on the workout. What time will you be coming in on Saturday?
Today we did a different version of the Josh WO.
    21 OH SQ, 42 Box Jump, 15 OHS, 30 BJ, 9 OHS, 18 BJ
    16:18 w/ 65# OHS and 20″ BJ
I am getting better at doing more consecutive OHS. Will screamed out a good tip, to not wait for so long when standing. I tend to think and the more you stand the faster your arms will tire and the less consecutive reps you can do.
