Hammies are dunzo after Michael yesterday. I’ve had a PR the last three times on deadlift, though, so I can’t break the streak now.

Yep! But, better today after my 5k last night. Didn’t break any records, but it felt good.

Vas, Marie and KBA: How you guys feeling this morning? (Yes, I said that with an evil grin on my face.)
So, that pace felt so good to me last night, I think I may attempt to redeem myself on the 10k and run it at the Lovett track tomorrow, our rest day. I don’t even know why I bother saying this, but if anyone wants to run it with me, just let me know. Dogs are allowed at the track.

I’m planning on doing a long run on Thursday. I might be up for that. What time would you be doing it?

It will be cooler later in the evening, so we could run after you’re done training. We were there pretty late last night, and it wasn’t too dark. I would be thrilled to have someone to run with (assuming I can keep up) and you can report back to Ken that I didn’t walk! Redemption will be mine!!!

not as bad as I thought. mainly my calves are pretty sore. I assume because I was trying to maintain POSE as much as I could.
Correct me if I am wrong with these times:
    1600m – 9:4?
    800m – 4:14
    400m – 1:5?
    200m – 49 seconds
Thanks for having me join you guys, the tips and helping me find out I have more than one gallon in the tank.

I am not very sore. But I am still fatigued from that 400.

Older man almost killed by Bethanie this am:
I was at my parents’ community gym this morning doing heavy deadlifts and DB push presses. In between rounds this older man walked up and asked me why I was dead lifting. Being somewhat coy I responded that it is the most functional movement there is “it teaches you to pick stuff up safely!!” and he laughed and said “yeah, for when you’re doing all that house work”. I am still amazed that I managed to hold my tongue and punches back…my next round was the fastest I’ve moved in my life and under my breath I said “I’d f*&$ing beat the sh*& out of you…”
Jason B: you’re comments are not welcome in response to this story.
Miss everyone very much and will see you next week!

nothing at all, but there is a lot wrong with the assumption that that is what I do with my life.

I was so excited to see you when I got back, and then you’re not here!! Boo. Also sad that you won’t be here Friday. Want to celebrate your birthday and “drink my face off” (your words) with you when you get back. Safe travels and don’t beat up any old men, if you can help it, although under those circumstances, it would have been perfectly justified.

I don’t understand how you were deadlifting, do you have weights in your kitchen or something?
