Phil gets after the Wall Ball part of Fight Gone Bad

Workout of the Day

Snatch 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps

Important Public Announcement

We are going to start a weekly social event, and we'll begin with grilling out on the gym's new grill/smoker.  The 1st event will be tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 30.  Subsequent events will be on Friday evenings mostly.  Starting about 7:00 PM tomorrow night Dan will be cooking his world famous smoked pork tenderloin.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for those who can't eat the other white meat.  Vic-tah will be making his world famous Bloody Mary's.  We need a volunteer to make salad or to provide some other paleo carbs.  Everyone should bring their own beer/wine/etc.

In the future many announcements for CF ATL get togethers will be made through Facebook.  Momo, Laura D., and Bethanie will be coordinating most of this through the Facebook page rather than through comments on the blog as in the past.  So, click the link in the upper right column and become a fan of CF ATL's on FaceBook if you want to be kept up to date on the latest society events.

Did that bench press, pull up, back squat workout yesterday. Don’t have my numbers per round with me but the totals were:
    bench press(92kg): 57
    pull up: 100
    back squat(92kg): 16
Did anybody else do way more reps on bench press than back squat?

My parents built cornhole boards for me for graduation and they have not been used yet. If I brought them tomorrow night would anyone be interested?

I actually have never heard of this before. Usually the legs are much stronger than the chest.

Grilling is a fantastic idea. How about some challenges? Chili cook off? Steak cook off? We could do an iron chef challenge and create the best meal we can using a select group of paleo ingredients.

    Or eating contests.
5 hamburgers with bun for time.
    3 minute hot dog AMRAP.
    etc…

Nice job on that wod this morning you killed it. I think I will concentrate more on speed of my kb swing – this seemed to help you get a pretty fats time.

I have been there – more reps on bench than squat – although my difference was a bit less. That is because we are bad ass.

Plus you can compare yourself to the icelanders (both the lead woman and lead man were in the top 20 at the games):

    I don’t do snatches.
I did Clean and Jerk instead:
    50-55-60-65-70[FAIL]-65-65

I hope you’re not really joking. I’d take either of those challenges. Especially if you’re not paleo, then we can consider other gems like:
1 gallon of milk for time
    1 cake for time
    I’d be all about that.

Nice work Ken, I’m sure with the added the pressure of a qualifier you would have no prob shaving off 11 seconds. Which makes me wonder how you’d do on Wod # 2, also looks like something you and the G could dominate. So. . . what if next year, you guys were to place #1 and #2 at the Games? The winner would be able to call the other NUMBER TWO for the entire year. ha ha, last one up the hill is a stinky number two
