    Did power Elizabeth yesterday with 65# power cleans. My first cleans of any kind since December. Felt good to move some weight around (even if it was super light) and my form felt better than ever. I tried to compensate for the light weight cleans by doubling the ring dips. Worst idea ever. Only lasted 1 round and it slowed the next two rounds way down. 14:01

    nice work Peter, great to hear you are getting back to form!
    hope people that can make it will show up at 11 friday for pose and gymnastics work. if we have regular interest we will do this often.
    Also, The AM crew (evening folks y’all are invited too!) is getting together at Katherine Penton’s for grilling and drinks on Friday evening around 5. word on the streets is that Friday night social/hangout nights will be starting back up at the gym. we may all come over to the gym after evening classes. but anyone wanting to get started with us early please come on by. bring whatever food you’d like to grill and booze you’d like to drink.     Yup, a little better every day : ) I’m being very patient. The reason I’m at 65# is because 10# bumpers are the lightest bumpers my gym has that gets the bar in the correct position. I won’t be moving up any time soon.

    hey mike…this makes me sad 🙁 the social we have been planning for a few weeks now was meant for everyone. I would love to get together with everyone and that’s why I plan these things. I guess it won’t work out this Friday but in future weeks let’s make sure we communicate. Thanks. As I’ve been posting, daily, for a few weeks now Crossfit Atlanta will be doing team workouts on Friday night at 6pm followed by grilling and drinks.

    my bad guys, last thing i want to do is have to conflicting events. i hadnt realized that this friday’s gathering was more than just tentative. my fault, I will talk to the am folks about just gathering here at the gym instead as our plans are only tentative. sorry for any confusion, that was not my intention

    Honey every time Brandon makes me do those .. I nearly suffocate in my cleavage …. nothing is more embarrassing than that — I am sure whatever happened — you looked extremely graceful while doing it !

    I was very excited to get my first static muscle-up tonight (as in, a muscle-up from a dead hang with no kip). Did a second one to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, then decided to quit while I was ahead ;-> A big milestone for me.

    As a member of the a.m. crew (even though multiple parsecs from Rx), I wanted to say how much I appreciate Mike K’s taking the initiative to get a.m. people together, which would be a great deal of fun. Fun for me anyway because it would give me the chance to talk with folks I see lots of days of the week, though at such an uncivilized early hour that I am unable to carry on a rational conversation or do anything other than try to turn in a performance that does not fall below what a comatose person would do. In any event, it seems to me that Mike’s post makes clear that the time does not conflict in time with previously scheduled activities, and that everyone is invited.
