    Was going to skip today and go sprinting instead, but with the race postponed and the WOD being sprints, I’m in.
    Do you have to do Rx to be on an Affiliate team?
    And I have a diet question: after 7pm evening class, I have a protein shake and don’t feel for much else. Should I make myself eat something? I get about 1000-1200 during the day, and if I skip dinner that’s not adding up to much. But I’m often not hungry/too tired to chew. Thoughts?

    You should absolutely be eating more. Post-workout is a critical recovery time and you should try to eat enough calories/protein to replace the energy/muscle you burned during the workout.
    I’m in the same boat as you. Post 7pm is a rough time to try and eat. I find that I’m usually not hungry. My strategy is generally to have a protein shake/carb source immediately after the workout. I then cook dinner while not feeling very hungry, but once I start eating, I realize how ravenous I am. The best way to get around not being hungry initially is to try and eat around the same time every day. Then your body will grow to expect it.

    Can someone please specify where they are getting the info on the 5k being POSTPONED ??!!! I am registered and have not received any notice of a change and the website still says the 13th

    You don’t have to do RX to be in the Affiliate Team. The sign up sheet is up in the gym. Just pencil your name down. I am in the process of getting a new Mixed team up. Check the Affiliate League website. The WODS are also posted.
    You should come play!!!

    It says so right on today’s blog post?? My fault if that’s not the case.I’d love for it to be in November…better running weather and time to train for a good time.

    Good call, I’ll try that. I’m so programmed to not eat if I’m not hungry, and to not eat right before or close to bed time. And even though I don’t feel it my body is probably hungry because the next morning I’m usually STARVING.Energy levels have been good/better so far but I can’t expect to keep that up at sub 15/1800 calories…

    uhm what blog post are you referring to ? if its the one above, that is exactly why I am asking. what is the source of this info listed because as someone WHO PAID TO RUN- I have not been notified by the EVENT that this has been moved to November.

    Oh well …. I don’t have to push myself too hard to train for it now. Let’s hope I can still race in November. URGH!

    Alan I am still waiting for confirmation that it has been moved … did you receive and email or something ? I jsut emailed the event organizers for clarification.
