Amber let me know if you need help. On another note I discovered a new recovery technique. Seeing as I was feeling like crap after Barbara I could barely walk and talk. So here is my top secret recovery plan: Last night I drank 2 big ass glasses of red wine, ate and went to sleep at 9 and did not wake up until 9 this morning. Wow do I feel good! No soreness, no pain and I feel like a teenager…. So sleep must do a body good….

I am confused. So now you are telling us that more sleep is better??
I feel good today too, which is a surprise. See you all early this evening for a quick one before a client dinner.

just a little tidbit, Robb Wolf told us that if you do not get enough sleep, your insulin resistance is as high as if you had Type II diabetes.
    Get more sleep!

What Robb fails to realize is that all the good stuff happens after midnight.

So then the question now is, how much sleep does one need if they are a Crossfitter?
And Margaret that comment about a quick one before a client meeting is ………

Like, for instance, sleeping on the floor so you don’t pee your girlfriend’s bed and waking up with chocolate on the walls and a strange man with no pants in bed with said girlfriend???

crazy stuff happenin on here tday!! but i have to agree, sleep is sooooooooo important, my best times on workouts have been when i get eight hours of sleep, which doesnt happen that often bc i get to the gym at 6am.

Woah, looks like Margaret came to play today. I think that’s the kind of sharp wit you get when you go to bed early, on the weekends, because you’re lame!

Really? Sleep is definitely important and obviously you feel way better with sleep but I have heard a lot of stories about crazy PRs on little sleep/hung over. ie. my PR on Fran was on 4 hours of sleep and a lot of caffeine. You should try it sometime 😉

Exactly. Just wait until July 31st. Then we’ll party like we are 34, which consists of limiting yourself to three drinks, alternating with water, going to bed at 11:00 and waking up the next day feeling dizzy, too hungry, too hot, too cold and too full all at the same time, all day long.

Ouch, Queenie. That stings! Actually, it made me LOL, as you crazy kids would say.

Marie, you forget that you are super human! I agree that sometimes you hit crazy PR’s when you least expect it, but me personally, i do better with sleep. But i also think that your performance is based on so many things, like diet, stress, etc. One good nite of sleep isnt gonna help if you health is shit for the most part. Lets also remember that your a young buck! not that im that much older, but when i was your age and a dance major in college i would party all nite, smoke a pack a day of cigs and get up the next day and take dance classes all day, and be one of the best. My body could not hang like that now! just wait, you will be older one day and have to sleep and diet like the rest of us!! but enjoy it while you can girl!oh yea, its also a bitch to loose wieght when you reach 25.

So I assume we are on for stretching Sunday at 11, I don’t want to pull anything watching the super bowl.

Got a PR (because it was the first time) on thrusters at 90kg, missed 95kg.
I’ve swam many a hungover practice in college… 80% of the time it was awful. But that remaining 20% I would swim phenomenally. There wasn’t really a middle ground, which is odd.

My vagina got in the way tonight and I just did the warm-up. Stephanie called that I wouldn’t make it to thrusters since it seems her and I have the same mystery “illness”. I’m going to bed now and am planning on waking up fine and making up the thrusters in the morn and tomorrow’s wod in the evening.

No, Jonathan didn’t get back to Atlanta tonight until 8 pm.
Also, I sneezed at one point today and it felt like a small atomic bomb went off inside my thorax and abdomen.
I will be back tomorrow for sure though.

Wow, B. You’re hard core. Missed today’s WOD for a dinner and wasn’t even thinking of doing a morning/night make up routine. GREAT idea.
