Drove to work today behind someone with a Crossfit bumper sticker on their window. I feel like I’m seeing or hearing about it more and more every day.
Happy Birthday Mike!
Big strong CF men (or whatever):
I am moving from my apartment in Buckethead to a house in Midtown on August 1st. I have a bed and a very heavy dresser that I will need to carry up down a total of 3 flights of stairs. It would be greatly appreciated if I could get help from a couple of you guys. I’ll buy you a case of beer or lunch or something as a thank you. Let me know if anyone can do it! Thanks!
On another note, that picture puts a whole new meaning to “Mr. Rolly Cooler Cooler Roller”…
happy bday mike!
I will help, but refuse to be paid in anything but beer.
Happy Birthday Mike!
I think the 90 squat snatches and 90 wall balls yesterday did me in for Nancy today.

Happy birthday Mike. Think you can stay up past midnight?
Sure, but you’ll have to remind me closer to it.
Cook your crucifers:

You’re making this paleo thing quiet hard to support.
I actually think the opposite. As it turns out, these staple culinary items were not part of the Paleolithic person’s diet. And since they were originally considered medicinal, i.e. not consumed very often, and since they actually have to be processed to avoid doing harm to the body, it shows that the Paleolithic approach is still one by which one ought to abide.
I do think it is interesting since I have been an advocate of raw vegetables for so long. Maybe I need to start firing up the stove more often for my spinach and broccoli.
Same deal, just remind me.
Happy Birthday Mike!!!
Living it up in Hilton Head with the family this week, see you all next week
Happy Birthday, Mike! you are now officially on a 365 day count down to 30!!!
For those of you who didn’t see my post late yesterday we will be having a summer birthdays celebration next Friday night the 24th and a birthday WOD the following morning.
Nancy Rx in 15:12 at Jeannie’s Beach Crossfit.
Second go at Nancy, first time as Rx’d: 15:54.
I felt and seemed to be doing pretty good through the first 3 rounds, but after doing yesterday’s Games WOD I didn’t have much left in the quads for rounds 4 and 5. I’m looking forward to doing this one again, but on fresher legs.
RX 17:22 PR by 1 minute 8 seconds.
Outlaw, try this one again after a rest day. It’s a whole new world.
Indeed.
Great job Laura. I did not do this required…I did it on steroids and did 21 OHS’s instead of the required 15 like an idiot. I was not thinking when I started because I wanted to do Josh to avoid running…oops. Oh well, it will only get me prepared for next time and will hopefully teach me to ask questions and know the WOD.
The first time I did Nancy I did it Rx 24:40, however I had it in my mind that I did it in 20:40. I was trying to beat the wrong time! I didn’t realize it until I got home and looked at my journal.
Unfortunately, even though I did beat the original time by 2 minutes (22:41), I didn’t get low enough on a lot of my squats, so I will not count this as a PR – Next time, I intend to beat it fair and square!
Thank you for all the birthday wishes! I just ate a bunch of cake and feel like I might throw up…awesome!
you’d better keep that cooler around, Mike. My grandpa used something similar when he got up there in age.

Re: Laura and Mike’s birthdays and turning 29 or 30…
One of my running friends tells me that “40 is the new 30”. Since I just turned 43 this month, I choose to believe that to be true. That also must mean that 30 is the new 20. Count me in for the hungover birthday WOD later this month.

I thought I ran fast. Guess not
You must miss your running partner, although I would not have been able to keep up on the OHS. This is the perfect workout for us…you make me go heavier and lower and I make you go faster…see you Sunday. Start planning the torture now. Wanna see how all this altitude training will help me.
p { margin: 0; }Bring it Margaret; I can’t wait.
And for the record, I really needed someone on that workout to make me run faster.
