CrossFit ATL 3753 Detrick is back

Workout of the Day

HQ workout is 10K run.  Gym workout is:

Five rounds for time of:
95 pound Power snatch, 15 reps
Run 400 meters

Post time to comments.

Learn the mechanics of fundamental movements; establish a consistent
pattern of practicing these same movements, and, only then, ratchet up
the intensity of workouts incorporating these movements. "Mechanics,"
then "Consistency," and then "Intensity" – this is the key to effective
implementation of CrossFit programming. –Greg Glassman

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel that no birthday celebration is complete without some hair whipping and back bends. That means you, Beefalo. It’s also close in time to Stowe’s bday, so we will be celebrating that as well. Mark your calendars for Friday, August 7th. Details to follow.

Why don’t we do it on a thursday so I can party too? I’ll be out of town that Friday.

Shake Weight + Hawaiian Chair = a good time 😉

I know, that’s why I was thinking it would be good to do it while you’re out of town, so B wouldn’t be alone on her birthday :-) However, she usually does need adequate support to do a proper back bend lest she fall on her head and injure herself, so it might be better if you were there. It’s whatever the birthday girls want. The idea of working all day Friday with a 5 alarm hangover sounds awful…

    OMFG.
In my best radio, sexy, commercial voice, “The Shake Weight also has an added benefit. Not only will your arms look amazing, but you’ll be able to provide the best hand jobs.”
    Good luck girls!

    OHS Fran with 65#

but I believe the majority of the OHSs were not proper depth, which I realized near the end of the last round as I was rushing and not paying attention.

That makes me feel better about it. When I got a cue in the last round that I did not have proper range of motion, I assumed that since I was hurrying and not paying attention, I could have for most of reps (since depth w/squat and heavy weight is sometimes an issue if I don’t focus).
