Had a very frustrating day yesterday on the OHS. 40-45-49 (4)- 40- 49. Not even close to my PR of 57 nor as fluid as the OHS at the qualifier, and couldn’t get my head in the game. My last set felt the best of any of the sets, so maybe it took me a while to find my happy place.

Your Fran PR probably had something to do with this. If your last set felt good, there’s nothing stopping you from doing more than 5 sets.

From what I understand about girls who play softball, they’re not used to having balls in their face. So I guess this was to be expected.

Oh and by the way, Rob and Brendon aren’t that special. All the cool kids got online athlete profiles.

Remember that if you’re even mildly interested in being on the CrossFit Atlanta affiliate team for the CrossFit games in Aromas, CA July 11-13 sign up on the white board at the gym. We’ll sort out logistical stuff later (like who is actually on the team, etc). To be on the team you should be able to do most of the CrossFit workouts as RX.
Did the OHS last night got 95# x 5 and 100#x4 (see Laura, you still beat me!)

I threw this “Karate Chop” kid out of the bar I worked at in college, more than once if I remember correctly. Saw him on CNN.com today. His parents must be proud.

…he failed his arms back then too.

That should have been CNN, not CNN.com

Thanks for all the comments! I barely squeaked by. I have done serious training to do before Aromas.

I did the posted WOD, as Rx’d. I am still nursing a sprained ankle, but with a tight pair of sneakers, I managed to eek by on the runs without too much difficulty.
    Time was 29:02.
I was hoping other people did this WOD so that I would have a time to chase. Oh, well.

    3 rounds:
    10 185# Deadlifts
    50 Double Unders
    10:52
Went to the doc today for my final check up on the ole foot. He said that over the next two weeks I can start “gradually” doing impact exercises again. I thought 150 double unders were a good start.
