Yak, which was bigger? The load on the bar or the load you left in your pants after making that face?

George gave me a kiss while I was doing pushups last night. It made me feel better. Thanks, George!!
Last night I pr’d on back squat and shoulder press, but I can’t seem to get past 80 kilos on deadlift.
Today I modified the workout to add ring pullups instead of regular, because my hands are all torn up, and pullups instead of dips, since I did something strange to my neck while failing on a shoulder press. Nine rounds plus 3 ring pullups. It seemed to go on for an eternity.

I meant pushups instead of dips.

oh, and I also think that I broke my power clean PR this morning trying to get my suitcase into my car. I had to let out a yell to get it in there, and then I looked around to see if I had startled any of the neighbors. it’s about 80% shoes, is big enough for a human body and is HEAVY. wonder how much that’s gonna cost me…

So last night I had a dream about giving someone a piledriver (pro wrestling move), and I was trying to explain to someone what that was, so I did a google image search and this was the second thing that came up:

Hopefully at least one person finds that as funny as I thought it was when I first saw it.

George likes the smell (and maybe the taste) of sweet potatoes with coconut milk and curry powder.

    Queen,
The load in my pants was caused by ecstasy, not the load on the bar.

    I did strict-form pull-ups and anchored sit-ups.
    20 rounds + 5 pull-ups.
    This was weird.

    1. This is weird because I had a dream last night that I was leading my family on a dive and we encountered sharks (I hadn’t read this article yet). I told them all to punch the shark as hard as they could in the nose…it worked.
    2. I’m probably going to get a lot of hell for this but I’m not exactly “comfortable” with things going on in this article. I do agree that the diver had no choice but to kill the shark. Tiger sharks are extremely dangerous and often termed “man-eaters”…also, usually when one encounters a shark of any kind it swims away and you are left in shock of what you just encountered. The fact that it was circling probably means it was getting ready to attack. BUT, I don’t like that this article portrays this man as a hero in a situation where the shark hadn’t really quite attacked…yet. The term “attack” was used several times which seems inaccurate. I just know about the general public’s unfounded fear of sharks (tigers are but one species) and am wary of shark-killing to become the new way to react to shark encounters. People are dumb and fear nurse sharks…are they going to start getting speared?? Sorry, this is a sensitive subject given where I’m from and the fact that people have huge fears of sharks but yet they’ll keep a sea lion sanctuary right where they swim…

It’s just an animal. The risk was obviously great enough that the men feared for their lives. And it wasn’t just malicious poaching – the guy ate what he killed.
It’s funny that you don’t seem to care too much about the tuna they had spearing all day long who were no threat to their lives whatsoever.

Hey Amber, I will post but with a caveat: I had to modify ring dips for bar dips with a band = 14 + 5pu +5 dips. I am only 2 weeks in, and LOVE IT. That’s one of my favorite parts about Crossfit too! Everyday I look at the WOD and think I won’t be able to do it, and have to be put in a remedial group workout, and I come in and there is a modification waiting for me! Y’all have found a creative way to make EVERYTHING scalable! Genius!
Good luck on SYTYCD tryouts – I watch all summer, so hopefully I will catch you on DVR with a ticket to Vegas in your hands!

Did you read what I posted? I said that I understood why he killed him and that he needed to. My problem is with the way the article is portraying what happened.
