First, we've had a scheduling snafu
and the Michael Collins Pose Running workshop will not be tonight
as planned, it will be tomorrow, Thursday, from 6-9 PM.  Anyone who has
registered and can't attend the new time will have their money
refunded.  Info about the workshop is hereRegister now.

Second, we are hosting a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certification
seminar this weekend, and will be closed to the public all weekend.
Please visit one of the friendly nearby CrossFit gyms.  On Friday evening, we are hosting Level 1 testing, and so the evening workouts will be outdoors.

Third, next weekend, May 27-30 we have a whole host of people
competing in or attending the CrossFit Games, Southeast Regional
Qualifier in Jacksonville.  This includes all of our trainers, so we
will be closed while we attend that event.

Hey Guys. For anyone that doesn’t have plans Memorial Day, you should really consider heading to JAX to support all the great athletes from Crossfit Atlanta. The competitions always have a great sense of community, and I am really excited to experience all of that with no performance anxiety. Kenny G picked out a nice hotel on the beach (One Ocean Resort) because he’s a princess, and I plan to come up with some gnarly beach workouts for those of us that are attending, but not competing. Think burpees and running through the surf. I’ll be driving and leaving early Saturday morning if anyone wants to caravan, and I might even have an extra spot in my car. Get
    Excited!

I don’t know what I’m more proud of: the progress we are making in the gym with our manual labor or the bad asses we have competing in jacksonville.
As a side note, my feet are extra smelly today and I can’t quite figure out why. Good stuff for my classes tonight!
Remember that I’m switching the wods for thursday and friday for my classes: thursday is eva and friday is karen outside! you better be at both!

apparently he’s not the only princess as mr mikey gee himself insisted on staying at the same sanctuary (lucky for me)…but, I’m not sure about whether he wants to stay there out of comfort or to be close to Ken. WHich should worry a girlfriend more??

Hey, if a comfortable bed and a high thread count on the sheets give CFATL athletes that extra competitive edge (in addition to the fact that you guys are serious bad-asses) I think it’s worth it. I do sometimes wonder what the sheets are going to be like wherever I’m going…I think it’s an old person thing, so we’ll go for comfort and not delve into the bromance between Kenny and Mike G.

I am definitely ready for some beach and bikini WODs, MoMo. I’m flying down there Friday morning.

Good luck next weekend guys! I wish I could get out there, but I think I’m visiting with family.
On another note-the car dealership repair guys say my car needs a lot of expensive repairs right away or it’s going to die in the next few months (it’s a 2003 Hyundai Elantra). Anyone know of a decent mechanic I can take it to for a second opinion? Thanks!

Krista, my family and I have been going to Precision Rebuilders in Chamblee for almost 30 years. They are run by the most honest mechanics in the city, if not the state:

Friday at 11 for anyone interested, we will be working on running technique or anything other skills you want to work on before class at 12. There is a good chance Mr. Mike G will make an appearance to help coach and offer his expertise.
